I hope that everybody had a safe a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had the opportunity to talk to most of my family members, except Anne = (, on the phone since I've been here in Korea. I already celebrated Korea's Thanksgiving, called Chu-Suk, awhile back...spent time with my mom's side of the family in Busan. I also celebrated this past weekend by seeing my Gomo's (Dad's younger sister's/aunt's)family and saw my Weh-Sam-Chown's (mom's younger brother's/uncle's)family. I've been busy with things here at ENM so I haven't been able to see my aunt since July and my uncle since September. I also got to eat Korean ribs/Gal-Bi...Delicious!

We are witnessing well on Korea University's campus. We spread the Gospel to many high school seniors on Saturday wanting to attend Korea University...we prayed for them to do well on their entrance exams and invited them to come to our free English learning classes. And as I mentioned before, knowing English is HUGE here.

We also spread His Message surprising well at Konkook University on Friday...sometimes people can be pretty rude = (. *Thank you for praying for them to have open hearts to hear the Gospel.

*Please pray for all those preparing to take final exams, like my brother and sister and my friends back at the Academy, and also for the students here at Korea University and KonKook University.

*Also, for multiple weddings going on here in Korea, especially Dr. SB Lee's wedding 12/30 and for Ron Koehler that he may attend

I haven't been able to post as reliably...sorry, but I will keep you all updated.

No Excuse

I'm sorry I did not post as usual. The good news is that I am well and that I am seeing results with my witnessing! A student a KonKuk University called me the other day after I witnessed to him because he felt that I was the only one he could talk to. He goes by the name of Moon, and I would really appreciate it if you would pray for him. He will graduate shortly (Korea's school years end in December) and is very concerned about his future. Also, please pray for Wahng Bong, a student at Korea University, as I am going to meet with him this evening.

Saturday I voluteered at a center for the mentally (and most physically also) handicapped located in the outskirts of Seoul. I entertained them, helped undress them, bathe them, dry them, clothe them, and cleaned their room. It was really sad to see how they lived and it also was really tough (not literally) scraping the dead skin cells off of them because I could see the agony in their face (for those who are not familiar with Korean baths, after soaping up, they literally scrape off the dead skin cells until they are red, then resoap and rinse) but after dressing them back up in clean clothes, I was happy to see them smile once again because of the volunteers who came to see them. What Commander Harr said was true...I did end up bathing those who aren't able to bathe themselves.

I am extremely blessed that English is my native language because it really helps while witnessing to Koreans. I know that some are simply trying to take advantage of me to learn English, but that's okay because if I can save one person through my knowledge of English, it will be well worth it. I currently teach English every Saturday 11 to 1 and Sunday 8:40 to 9:40 free of charge. There is a missionary sister here who came to believe Christ about a year ago through one of these free English classes. I am hoping that we can continue this...

I got back from witnessing today at Konkuk University and realized how much easier it is for me to witness then for most of my other brothers...not that I'm better in anyway, but ONLY because I speak English fluently. People tend to be a lot more open to hear the Word from me than from most of my other brothers. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of people here who are way better than me at getting the Message across while witnessing, but I have an upperhand just because I grew up in the States. I'm very thankful for that and have been using this to my full advantage to at least plant the seed of Christ in others.
*Please continue to pray for those I witness to, to have an open heart for Christ and for my fellow brothers in Christ spreading the Gospel.

Whenever I have trouble waking up in the morning for QT, this verse helps me:

" 'Why are you sleeping?' He asked them 'Get up and pray, so that you won't enter into temptation.' " Luke 22:46
